Amazing family + story {& 100th post}

Meet Laura, and her husband Brad. These are 2 pretty amazing people. They are the parent's of 5. One of them, a close friend, Sara.
Laura was diagnosed with breast cancer a little bit ago and when she asked me to take pictures of their family before the chemo makes her hair fall out, there is no way I could have said no. I found out after the shoot that she actually started chemotherapy treatments on Monday {4 days ago!}. And I never would have been able to tell. She's still the extremely happy person I know and is obviously not letting this cancer thing stop her in any way. They are a great family and I am so honored to have been able to take their family portraits.

My photographer friend, Nicole, and I are shooting a series of images for Belle Bridal for their website and advertisements. We had our first prom dress photo shoot a few days ago. It was a pretty fun photo shoot. Here are a few I took and enjoy. Very rough edits. More to come.

One Step Closer: Acceptance into the USU Art Department!

GAH! I can hardly describe what I am feeling! On January 28th (day after I turned 18)I said a little prayer and dropped my application into the mail slot marked "out of town" at the Post Office! Fast forward more than 2 months, today (Easter Sunday)-- I found out the results: ACCEPTED! I worked so stinkin' hard on all that i've done and i found out that it paid off in the end.
No one in my family checked the mail box yesterday, so I really could have found out yesterday, but the Easter Bunny delivered it to me instead ha ha. Best Easter present ever, minus Chirst's gift to everyone, of course.
Really good day and I am so grateful for the opportunity to become better at what I love! USU Art Department: We'll meet next year!!!
